11 Jumping Jacks, 784 Questions, and a Real Estate Reality Check
A couple of weeks ago, I found myself at the world's longest orthodontist appointment with my daughter.
Here's a quick snapshot:
- 2 teeth pulled when the expander came out
- 784 questions asked by one very curious patient
- 11 jumping jacks in the middle of the room to "get the wiggles out"
- And a very patient orthodontic tech and doctor who took it all in stride.
And somehow… here I am able to relate it all to real estate. :-) I know it sounds odd, but hear me out.

1. Real Estate Is Filled With Questions (And That's a Good Thing)
If you've ever been through the buying or selling process, you know how many questions can pop up, and how they often come in rapid-fire succession.
- "What's earnest money?"
- "Should I waive the inspection?"
- "Can we ask for that weird statue in the backyard to be included?"
My daughter asked questions about everything: why this tool, what that does, if it would hurt, how long it would take, and so on. It was a good reminder of how important it is to slow down and create space for those questions. No rushing. No eye-rolls. Just honest answers.
My job? Encourage your questions and answer them with care, so the whole experience becomes a lot less overwhelming.
2. The Wiggles Are Real
Real estate, like orthodontist visits, can make people restless.
Excitement, nerves, fear, and frustrations are all part of the process, especially when you're facing big changes or waiting for answers. Sometimes you just need to get up, do a few jumping jacks (metaphorically… or literally, no judgment), and let off steam.
That's why structure and clarity matter. Because they turn that nervous energy into momentum.
My job? Give you the right support so you don't have to feel stuck and you can keep moving forward, one step at a time.
3. The Best Experiences Take Time

My daughter's appointment wasn't fast. It wasn't convenient. But it was meaningful.
The team took their time.
They didn't rush us out the door.
They answered every question.
They adjusted their pace for my daughter's comfort.
That kind of intentional care? That's what people remember. And it's what you deserve when you're buying or selling a home.
My job? To help you through the process with patience and intention, so it's less stressful and more successful.
Here's the Tooth (and Truth)
Sometimes, a trip to the orthodontist can remind you of what's most important.
Patience. Listening. Guiding.
Whether you're buying your first home, upsizing, downsizing, or somewhere in between, you need someone who will answer your questions, help calm your "wiggles," and give you the space and support to move forward with confidence.
If that's what you're looking for, I'd be honored to help.
