How Rachel & Jeremy Nies sold their home in 5 days, received 5 offers, closed over asking, and hit the road right on schedule.
May 2026Listed May 1st — closed less than three weeks later, over asking price.
Every once in a while, a client comes to me with more than a home to sell; they come with a dream on a deadline. That was Rachel and Jeremy. Their kids were grown, and they were ready to do something bold: sell their house, buy an RV, and hit the road so Jeremy could pursue his lifelong passion for outdoor adventure work. They needed everything to go right, and they needed it to go fast. I’m proud of what we pulled off together. Here’s Rachel’s story, in her own words.
The Dream
My husband Jeremy has always dreamed of working in the outdoor adventure space. With our kids grown and a new chapter ahead of us, we decided this was finally the time. We sold our home to live and travel full-time in our RV so Jeremy could chase seasonal outdoor-adventure jobs. I work remotely, so I can work from anywhere. Our first stop was the Glacier National Park area, where Jeremy is working as a whitewater rafting guide through October.

The Challenge
The biggest thing on my mind going into the sale was timing. Since we were moving two states away, we needed everything to go well, and to go quickly. There was no backup plan.
I’d worked alongside Eric professionally and had seen firsthand how he treated his clients, like how prepared he always was, and how much he genuinely cared. When it came time to sell our own home, working with him was a no-brainer.
A Year of Preparation
What I didn’t fully expect was just how far ahead Eric would take us. He came out to our house almost a year before we were ready to list. He walked us through his recommendations on what to improve, what buyers would respond to, what would help the house show well, etc. Then in March, he came back. Not just to check on the house, but to check on us.
“He genuinely cared about our story and how things were coming together.”

When listing photos were scheduled in April, I was in the middle of the stress of moving and worried how the house would show in pictures. Eric showed up fully prepared to help me finish anything that still needed to be done. He told me not to worry. And I believed him.

Pricing & The Emotional Side
The pricing conversation was one of the things I appreciated most about Eric. He did his research and laid it all out regarding what price range made sense for our timeline and where the potential stumbling blocks were for the price we originally had in mind. But he also understood that this wasn’t just a house to me. I raised all of my children here. I loved the property. It was emotional to let it go. Eric held both things at once: the wisdom of knowing the market, and the care of knowing what this home meant to us.
“He understood how valuable a house is to a seller, because it’s their home. But he balanced that with his real knowledge of the market. He wasn’t just telling us what we wanted to hear.”
— Rachel NiesNo Surprises
Another thing that made a real difference was that Eric is a former home inspector. He knew exactly what an inspector would be looking for, so he was able to remove the fear around that part of the process entirely. By the time we listed, he had already walked us through any potential red flags.
“By the time we listed that home, we were fully prepared. There really weren’t any surprises.”
— Rachel NiesThe Outcome
We listed on May 1st, and within five days, we had 22 showings and five offers. We sold for more than our asking price and closed in less than three weeks, right on schedule.

We left on time. Jeremy is out there on the river. I’m working remotely with a view I couldn’t have imagined a year ago. We are thrilled with our experience with Eric. He made something that could have been incredibly stressful feel completely handled, and that made all the difference.

Whether you’re chasing a dream or just ready for the next chapter, let’s talk through your situation and make sure everything goes the way it should.
